  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: Red pepper flakes for heat
  • Optional: Fresh parsley or chives for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Remove outer leaves from the cauliflower and trim the stem while keeping it intact.
  3. Slice the cauliflower head into two thick "steaks" (about 1 inch thick).
  4. In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Brush both sides of each steak with the seasoning mixture.
  6. Arrange steaks on the baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. For extra crispiness, broil for the last 2-3 minutes if desired.
  8. Let rest briefly before garnishing with parsley or chives and serving.
