  • 110 g butter
  • 210 g all-purpose flour

  • 200 g cream cheese (cold)
  • 120 g heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp agave or honey
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the sugar and butter until fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla, mixing until combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, poppy seeds, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  4. Scoop rounded tablespoons onto prepared baking sheets. Bake for about 10 minutes until golden at the edges.
  5. For the frosting, whip cold cream cheese, vanilla extract, powdered sugar, agave (or honey), and heavy cream until smooth.
  6. Once cookies cool completely, frost generously with cheesecake frosting.
