  • 1 can (8 count) refrigerated flaky layers biscuits (16.3 ounces)
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • Zest and juice from 1 large lemon
  • 3 tablespoons + 1.5 teaspoons butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Spray a 9"x5" loaf pan with non-stick spray and line it with parchment paper.
  3. Separate each biscuit into two layers (16 halves total).
  4. In a bowl, mix sugar, lemon zest, and poppy seeds. Melt the butter in another bowl.
  5. Brush each biscuit half with melted butter on both sides and roll them in the sugar mixture.
  6. Layer the coated biscuits in the prepared loaf pan, adding any leftover sugar mixture between layers.
  7. Bake for 30–45 minutes until golden brown; cover loosely with foil if browning too quickly.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
