Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 lb thick-cut turkey bacon (or plant-based alternative)
  • 12 slider buns
  • Optional toppings: arugula or baby spinach, cheese

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken into slider-sized pieces and marinate in a mix of olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and pepper for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Cook marinated chicken in a skillet over medium-high heat until internal temperature reaches 165°F (about 4-5 minutes per side).
  3. Prepare the glaze by simmering maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, and optional red pepper flakes for about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Cook turkey bacon until crispy; crumble or cut into pieces.
  5. Toast slider buns if desired. Assemble by layering chicken on the bottom bun, drizzling with glaze, adding bacon and greens if using, then topping with the other half of the bun.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy!
