  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 8 oz shell pasta
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Optional: 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil salted water in a large pot. Add shell pasta and cook until al dente according to package instructions. Reserve some pasta water before draining.
  2. Sear the Steak: Season steak pieces with salt and pepper. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and sear steak until browned on all sides.
  3. Create the Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce heat and add butter. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
  4. Combine Pasta and Sauce: Toss drained pasta into the sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed for desired consistency.
  5. Serve Your Dish: Plate the pasta topped with steak bites and sprinkle with parsley if desired.
